The Darjeeling Limited [2007]

What’s clearly impressive about proper film reviewers – hardest job in the world – is there must be literally loads of times when all they’ve got to say is ‘Yeah, it was good,’ but they’ve got a 500 word minimum which needed to be handed in weeks ago. So join me in praise for these plucky individuals, sat in a chair and looking in the same direction for up to two hours, and then being asked what they thought of something like ‘The Pianist’, which Adrien Brody was also in. The only answer they can think of might be ‘I liked it, yes… Well done, everyone. Um, good job’, but they’ve got to poop those lengthier judgments out no matter what. My tactic would be to instead talk about Adrien Brody in something else, such as ‘Giallo’, as it was hilolrious, but they’d be told they’re being paid to write about the film in the review’s title, not some irrelevant bollocks, and no one’s seen ‘Giallo’ anyway, so any humour they’re going to get out of it will be missed by their stupid readers, so don’t bother. Ugh. Readers. Thank goodness I don’t have any of those. They sound terribly high maintenance.
